Η ΔΕΥΤΕΡΗ ΣΥΝΤΑΓΗ ΤΗΣ ΕΥΤΥΧΙΑΣ
Η δευτερη συνταγη της ευτυχιας λεει οτι η ευτυχια δεν προερχεται ουτε απο πλουτη, ουτε απο την απολαυση της σαρκας, ουτε απο τη δοξα, αλλα ειναι ψυχικη κατασταση που πηγαζει απο τον συνδεσμο της με τον Αιωνιο, Παντοδυναμο και Παναγαθο Θεο. Η καρδια του ανθρωπου δεν μπορει ποτε να χορτασει με τα πραγματα αυτου του κοσμου, εχει χωρητικοτητα πολυ μεγαλυτερη απο ολο τον κοσμο, γιατι πλαστηκε με τον υψιστο και ενδοξοτερο προορισμο να γινει κατοικητηριο του ιδιου του Θεου, που ειναι δημιουργος της και Σωτηρας της. Ο ανθρωπος δεν πλαστηκε για τα δημιουργηματα, αλλα για τον Δημιουργο. Ματαια λοιπον ταλαιπωρειται και κοπιαζει προσπαθωντας να βρει τη μονιμη χαρα και την ειρηνη μακρια απο τον Θεο! Μοιαζει με το ψαρι που ζητα την ευτυχια του μακρια απο το νερο. Να τωρα η αλλη συνταγη της ευτυχιας:

Να συνδεθεις με τον Θεο σου μεσω της Σωτηριας που εκανε ο Χριστος.
Να γνωρισεις τον αιωνιο και ενδοξο προορισμο σου απο τις Γραφες.
Να βαδιζεις στη ζωη αυτη συμφωνα με την ουρανια προσκληση σου,
δηλαδη, ζωντας ζωη αγαπης, δικαιοσυνης και ειρηνης με τον Χριστο.

Η εκτελεση της συνταγης αυτης ειναι πολυ ευκολη. Δεν μοιαζει με την πρωτη συνταγη που καταφθειρει και βασανιζει την ανθρωπινη ζωη. Ο ανθρωπος εδω, πρεπει να στραφει προς τον Θεο και να θεωρησει την αμαρτια ασπονδο και υπουλο εχθρο του. Πρεπει να  γνωριστει με τον Σωτηρα του τον Ιησου Χριστο, ο οποιος θα του χαρισει απο τον Ουρανο το Θεικο Πνευμα το οποιο θ' αναγεννησει την καρδια του και θα τον γεμισει απο αγαπη, χαρα, ειρηνη, ζωη αιωνια.

THE PARABLE OF THE TEN VIRGINS  (Matthew 25:1-13)
What is a Parable (Παραβολη)?
A story that we put alongside the true story to give us the meaning.
The message of this Parable: It matters how we treat God's Word in our lives.

A Jewish wedding; the ceremony was usually carried out on a Wednesday, late in the evening, followed by festivities that lasted for days.
The Bridegroom left his father's house sometime in the evening, escorted by the best man who went ahead of the bridegroom calling 'the bridegroom is coming', and went to the bride's house to take her to his father's house and officially become his wife. Here we have an escort of ten virgins who went out into the darkness of the night to escort the bridegroom.
In this Parable, we do not have a usual wedding where the focus is on the Bride but the opposite. The attention is on the Bridegroom. Similarly, we are preparing for the Heavenly wedding when Christ will be officially joined to His Church in Heaven in the presence of God the Father, the Holy Spirit and the Host of Heaven.
The escort is made up of ten maidens who need a vital element for that job, the lamp giving light to show the way in the darkness of the night.
We live in dark, difficult days and need the light of God to show us the way so that we do not stumble along. But for that to happen we need our lamps to have an ample supply of the vital oil. We read that these virgins are split into two groups, not because of choice but because of circumstances. Five were prudent (φρονιμοι) and five foolish (μωραι). Remember the Parable of the wise and foolish builder in Matthew 7:24-27? The classification of Prudent/Foolish did not depend on intelligence but on whether there was enough oil in the lamps or not.
There are two kinds of oil in the Bible:
1. The Lighting Oil-Exodus 27:20-21.
2. The Anointing Oil-Exodus 30:22-25, 33.
The Psalmist in Psalm 119:105 says 'Your Word is a lamp to my feet and....'. I believe that in this Parable we have a beautiful example of the Lighting Oil, the Word of God. The Anointing Oil was used to anoint the High Priest and the articles in the Tabernacle. Any misuse or counterfeit meant
the penalty of death.

The Delay. For almost two thousand years now the Church has been hearing about the imminent
coming of Christ to this earth for the Second Time. Like the ten virgins, the believers of our days and the Church seem to be in a state of slumber. There is nothing wrong with the spiritual tiredness we often feel in this present evil world. We often feel like having a little rest. Not necessary a sinful state.
However, at midnight there was an unexpected cry, 'the Bridegroom is Coming'. The unexpected
cry brought to the surface the state of unreadiness. If He had come a little earlier perhaps there would have been no problem. How long are we prepared to wait for His Coming?
Five Virgins awoke, trimmed their lamps and went out into the darkness of the night. The other Five, in the commotion of the night found out that their lamps had not sufficient oil to give enough light. At that late hour there was no case of remedying the situation. A life of neglect cannot be remedied in a few moments. Shallow living and mere Church going will not carry us through. We cannot depend on other believers to see us though to Heaven. It is between us and Christ.
While they were busy finding oil the Bridegroom came and those who were ready went in and the door was shut.
We are reminded of another door that was shut. When everything was ready God shut the door of the Ark. Noah and his family entered that Ark because they believed God and obeyed His Commands.
The five foolish virgins came and knocked at the door expecting the door to open. The reply was 'I do not know you'. Jesus warned 'Many shall come....', yet they were virgins-2 Corinthians 11:2, but they did not make it. How tragic that a life of Christianity can prove worthless in the final analysis. Someone said this 'When we do not pay attention to His Word, He does not listen to what we tell Him either'.

'Watch therefore for you know neither the time nor the hour....'

ΔΥΟ ΔΑΙΦΟΡΕΤΙΚΕΣ ΣΥΝΤΑΓΕΣ ΕΥΤΥΧΙΑΣ
Η πρωτη συνταγη ευτυχιας ειναι η συνηθισμενη συνταγη την οποια ξερει απ' εξω καθε ανθρωπος και την οποια εμπιστευονται κι εργαζονται για την εκτελεση της τα 999 χιλιοστα των σημερινων ανθρωπων. Να ο τυπος της συνταγης αυτης.

Οδηγια. Ανακατεψτε τα μεσα στο γουδι της ανθρωπινης καρδιας και θα απολαυσετε την ευτυχια. Ας δουμε τωρα πως θα γινει η εκτελεση της συνταγης αυτης.

1. Χρημα αφθονο. Πως θα βρεθει το αφθονο χρημα; Για να βρεθει το αφθονο χρημα πρεπει η συνειδηση να γινει ελαστικη στις ιδεες της δικαιοσυνης, της τιμιοτητας, της συμπαθειας. Πρεπει να τις θεωρησει σαν ρουχα παλιας μοδας και αντι γι' αυτες να ντυθει τον μανδυα του συμφεροντος, ο οποιος δεν ταιριαζει ουτε με δικαιοσυνη ουτε με τιμιοτητα ουτε με ανθρωπια και συμπαθεια. Ετσι ο ανθρωπος μεταμορφωνεται ραγδαια σε τυπο αδικο, ατιμο και ασπλαχνο με μορφη ανθρωπου. Απο αυτο το σημειο απεχει μονο ενα βημα η ανατροπη των παντων.

2. Σαρκικη απολαυση. Πως θα χορτασουμε τις πεντε αισθησεις; Και εδω ειναι αναγκαιες πολλες τροποποιησεις των παλιων ιδεων. Ειναι αναγκη να τροποποιηθει η ιδεα της Ηθικης, πρεπει να θεωρησουμε καθε ειδους απολαυση θεμιτη, αρκει να ευχαριστει αυτους που την απολαμβανουν.

Πρεπει το θεατρο να μας σκανδαλιζει, ο κινηματογραφος να μας ερεθιζει και οι γυναικες στον δρομο ν' αποκαλυπτουν ολο και περισσοτερη σαρκα. Πρεπει ο θεσμος του γαμου να θεωρηθει οπισθοδρομικος, η ανατροφη των παιδιων με αγαπη αυτοθυσια. Πρεπει η μουσικη να εξυμννει την σαρκικη ηδυπαθεια, η ζωγραφικη ν' αποθεωνει το γυμνο. Πρεπει μ' αλλα λογια να γελοιοποιηθει η ηθικη και να ανεβει στη σκηνη η παραλυσια των ηθων σκεπασμενη με επιμελεια κατω απο τη παχια μασκα των ονοματων Προοδος, Καλλιτεχνια, Συγχρονος Πολιτισμος.

3. Αποκτηση δοξας. Για ν' αποκτησουμε δοξα απο τους ανθρωπους πρεπει να προσπαθουμε προ παντος ν' αρεσουμε σ' αυτους. Πρεπει να χορευουμε συμφωνα με το βιολι που θα μας παιξουν και να εμφανιζομαστε σαν να εχουμε περισσοτερα απο οτι πραγματι εχουμε. Ειναι αναγκη δηλαδη να γινουμε κατα μεγαλο μερος υποκριτες. Πρεπει να θεωρουμε εχθρο μας τον ανθρωπο που μας βγαζει τη μασκα, τον ανθρωπο που αρνειται να μας επαινεσει, τον ανθρωπο που περνα μπροστα μας χωρις να μας υποκλινεται. Με λιγα λογια για ν' αποκτησουμε δοξα χρειαζεται σε μαγαλο μερος υπηρεσια και ζωη δουλειας κατω απο τις αποψεις των αλλων.

Ποιο ειναι το αποτελεσμα της Συνταγης αυτης;

Το αποτελεσμα της Συνταγης αυτης ειναι η φρικτη και ελεεινη κατασταση της σημερινης κοινωνιας. Οι ανθρωποι αντι να γινουν ευτυχισμενοι γινονται οντα δυστυχισμενα, που στροβιλιζονται μεσα στη εκνευρισμενη κινηση της συγχρονης ζωης, που φερνουν πανω στο προσωπο τους την ακφραση της αποχαυνωσης και της αποτυχιας. Οι εφημεριδες καθε μερα μας πληροφορουν για αυτοκτονιες, διαζυγια, ατιμιες, εγκληματα, αδικιες, εκφυλισμους. Απο που ολα αυτα; Αυτα ειναι αποτελεσματα της μεγαλης πλανης στην οποια οι ανθρωποι παραδοθηκαν για να εκτελεσουν την ψευτοσυνταγη αυτη της ευτυχιας 'πλανωντες και πλανωμενοι'                                            Συνεχιζεται

WALKING
What does it mean? To tread about.

Many references appear in the New Testament giving emphasis to its meaning. Some are for warning, others to guide us, etc.
Why "WALK"? Our feet take us to places, help us to stand upright, position us, give us strength, help us to flee away....

Some meanings of WALK in the Scriptures:
1. 1 John 1:7. 'Walk in the Light'. Stay on the path of Light so that we can enjoy Fellowship one with another and with the Lord. Thus, we can be cleansed from wrong and sin.
2. 2 Corinthians 5:7. 'Walk by Faith'. The Christian life can only be lived by Faith. We do not always know what direction to follow but Faith keeps us on the right path.
3. Ephesians 5:2. 'Walk in Love'. To live the Christian life in love, God's Love. No other way, but God's way.
4. Colossians 4:6. 'Walk in Him'. To be in Him. Since His coming into our lives we should live the life that He lived. A new life.
5. Galatians 5:16. 'Walk in the Spirit'.  In this way we Fellowship with the Holy Spirit, we commune with Him. He protects us and guides us so that we are protected from the temptations of the flesh and the pull of the world on our lives. We need to have a close walk together with the Holy Spirit to keep us from all evil.
6. Ephesian 4:1. 'Walk worthy of Him' . Do not bring shame on your life with God by the way you live and behave. Live as an example of Christian life in a dark world.

Η ΑΝΑΚΑΛΥΨΗ ΤΗΣ ΕΥΤΥΧΙΑΣ
Ποσο ελκυστικη ειναι αυτη η αγγελια! Αφορα καθε ανθρωπινη υπαρξη. Θιγη την καρδια της ανθρωπινης προσωπικοτητας, γιατι ο ανθρωπος πλαστηκε για την ευτυχια, οπως το ψαρι πλαστηκε για το νερο.
Ποσο ομως η πειρα μας δινει απελπιστικη απαντηση! Οι ανθρωποι ζητουν αδιακοπα την ευτυχια χωρις ποτε να την βρισκουν. Ακολουθουν υποσχεσεις, τρεχουν, αγωνιουν να συλλαβουν την ευτυχια και πολυ γρηγορα αντιλαμβανονται οτι εχουν να καμουν με μια σκια. Αλλα και μετα απο αυτες τις διαψευσεις δεν σταματουν. Διακρινουν καποιο αλλο ομοιωμα προς το οποιο δινουν εμπιστοσυνη και τρεχουν και λαχανιαζουν και τσακιζονται να το φτασουν, οποτε δυστυχως αντιλαμβανονται οτι κι αυτη ακομα τη φορα εχουν να καμουν με μια σκια. Ετσι περναει η ζωη τους σ'ενα διαρκες κυνηγητο της ευτυχιας και μια σταθερη και αλλεπαλληλη διαψευση. Απο που προερχεται το γεγονος αυτο, το ζωτικοτατο για την ανθρωπινη υπαρξη; Προερχεται απο το οτι ο ανθρωπος εχει χασει το δρομο της ευτυχιας και πλαναται αλλου. Εχει παθει κατι παρομοιο μ'εκεινον που εψαχνε, ετρεχε, αγωνιουσε να βρει τον ηλιο στα βαθη μιας υπογειας σηραγγας....και δεν τον εβρισκε ποτε.                             Συνεχιζεται

THE BIBLE
What is it?
A book, not an ordinary book. It is God's Book, dictated by God to selected men. A God inspired Book. It is the written Word of God-2 Peter 1:21, 2 Timothy 3:16.
What does it consist of? The Old Testament comprising 39 books and the New Testament 27 books, altogether 66 books.
What is a Testament? An agreement which has to be signed to be valid-Hebrews 8:7-10. Here, an agreement between God and man sealed with Blood.
What period of time does it cover? From Creation to the end of the 1st century A.D. A number of 40 writers covering a period of 1500 years approx , from Moses to the Revelation of John. From 1300 B.C. to 100 A.D approximately.
Who are the authors? Moses, Joshua, Samuel, the Prophets, the Apostles and others.
What languages were used? Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic.
Is the content of the Bible enough for us? Yes-John 21:25.
Should we consult other sources in addition to the Bible? God has not authorised any- Ecclesiastes 12:8-14.
What is the objective aim of the Bible? To convey God's message to man-Hosea 1:1, Joel 1:1 ....

How do we read and study the Bible?
Read it just like any other book. Read it from beginning to end over and over again. Read it prayerfully, asking the Holy Spirit for help and revelation. Believe what it says. A star is a star, a stone is a stone....unless the content tells us that it means something else and is not to be taken literally.
It is not a mysterious book but written for simple people like us. You will not know the meaning of the Scriptures till you get to know the Author-Jesus Christ, therefore you must be born from above.
The idea that you can take the Bible, read it, study and understand it is wrong, unless you observe certain rules (unwritten) you will end up in confusion and foolishness.

DIVINE GUIDANCE
A rather difficult subject. A cause of much confusion and error in the life of the Church. Does God guide us? What does the Bible say?
God has not left us alone on this earth to wander along the way but has provided means to guide and lead us in right paths.
How are people guided generally?
1. By what others do.
2. By chance happenings.
3. By superstitious beliefs.
4. By impulses.
5. By convenience.
6. By God.
7. By circumstances.
God's guidance is given under certain conditions we need to observe. There are two vital elements 
involved:
a. The Word of God.
b. The Holy Spirit.
For guidance to operate the believer must seek God's will-Gen.24:42-44, 47-48.
There is conscious guidance and unconscious guidance-'We walk by Faith'. The Apostle Paul was sensitive to the Spirit's leading and so must we be-Acts 16:6-10.
For guidance to be received certain conditions must exist:
1. No preconceived plans or bias.
2. No divided heart-James 1:8.
3. Faith in Him who guides, even though we may face the unknown-Hebrews 11:6.
4. No hidden sin or disobedience in the heart-Pro.66:18.
Guidance is an integral part of the believer's life in God and our walk with Christ.
'As many as are led by by the Spirit of God they are....'  Romans 8:14-15.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH
WHAT IS IT? To increase in the Faith and knowledge of Christ so that we reach maturity and be like Him-Ephesians 4:11-16. Here, Growth is stated two times.
Why is it necessary? It is the will of God. Heaven is not a nursery made up of babies. The whole of life speaks of growth. Mountains become barren so that valleys become fertile, babies grow to become mature people, plants grow...It is God's Law ingrained in the whole of Nature. If we do not grow we violate it.
How is Growth brought about? At Conversion. the Holy Spirit enters our lives and starts to prod us towards growth. He builds in us the urge to grow, naturally and spiritually. If we do not feel this prod then we shall remain spiritual babies. 
How do we recognize a lack of Growth? In the same way a baby fails to grow. Believers who fail to grow live carnal lives feeding on milk-1 Corinthians 3:1-2.
What are the factors for spiritual growth? Two vital agents are needed, as in natural growth, Food and Exercise.
Food-The Word, 1 Peter 2:1-2.
Prayer-Matthew 14:23.
Are there any obstacles to spiritual growth? Yes, there are many. Some of them are:
Double mindedness-James 1:5-8.
Lack of deep roots-Ephesians 3:14-19.
Cares of this life and anxieties-Matthew 6:25-29. The parallel is drawn from nature. Everything grows naturally under God's care. When care and anxiety rest upon us, it is not God's responsibility to provide for us. Then Spiritual Growth is stunted.
Sin-Romans 6:14. A major obstacle to growth in the life of the believer. Faith and Prayer are hindered, thus making growth ineffective.

Ο Μυθος της Ασυμφωνιας
Καποιος προσδιορισε τη διαφορα αναμεσα σε μια Χριστιανικη οικογενεια και σε μια Πιστη ως εξης 'Μια Χριστιανικη οικογενεια εχει πολλα προβληματα που πρεπει να αντιμετωπισει μονη της. Μια πιστη Χριστιανικη οικογενεια εχει τα ιδια προβληματα, αλλα τα χειριζεται με τη χαρη και τη δυναμη του Κυριου Ιησου Χριστου'.
Σε πολλες Χριστιανικες οικογενειες γινεται πολυς λογος για τη λεξη ασυμφωνια, και σε πολλες συμβουλευτικες συζητησεις με ζευγαρια που αντιμετωπιζουν δυσκολιες διαδραματιζονται σκηνες οπου ο ενας η ο αλλος συζυγος λεει, 'Νομιζω τελικα πως το πραγματικο προβλημα ειναι απλουστατα οτι δεν συμφωνουμε'. Ο Ελβετος ψυχιατρος Πωλ Τουρνιερ προτεινει να διαγραψουμε τη λεξη ασυμφωνια απο το λεξιλογιο μας. Λεει ' Η αποκαλουμενη συναισθηματικη ασυμφωνια ειναι ενας μυθος που επινοηθηκε απο νομομαθεις, που δεν βρισκουν επιχειρηματα για να συνηγορησουν υπερ του διαζυγιου. Ειναι μια κοινη δικαιολογια που χρησιμοποιουν οι ανθρωποι για να κρυψουν τα αισθηματα τους. Προσωπικα δεν πιστευω οτι δεν υπαρχει ασυμφωνια, συναισθηματικη ασυμφωνια. Υπαρχουν παρεξηγησεις και λαθη που μπορουν να διορθωθουν οταν υπαρχει προθυμια γι' αυτο'.
Καθε οικογενεια εχει τα προβληματα της η δικια μου οπως και η δικια σου αλλα οι πνευματικα ωριμοι αμθρωποι δεν θα επιτρεψουν τουτα τους τα προβληματα να μονιμοποιηθουν γιατι συνειδητοποιουν οτι ωριμοτητα σημαινει  την υπαρξη ικανοτητας να δορθωνουμε τα προβληματα μας, αλλα συμφωνα με τις οδηγιες του Χριστου και της Αγιας Γραφης. Ας επιτρεψουμε τον Κυριο να γινει το κεντρο της οικογενειακης μας ζωης και να μας βοηθησει να επιτυχουμε την οικογενειακη ενοτητα, που μονο ενα πραγματικο Χριστιανικο σπιτι μπορει να γευθει.                                                             Σκεψεις

FEAR
Fear afflicts our lives at one time or another. There are 300 references to fear in the Bible, showing how serious a problem it is. It has been estimated that 80% of believers are troubled by Fear. Fear of the unknown is perhaps the greatest fear that preoccupies most people.

There are Two kinds of Fear In Scripture:
1. The Fear of the Lord (Respect)-Pro.1:7, 19:23.
2. The Fear of man (Anxiety)-Pro.29:25.

Where does it come from? A direct product of sin-Gen.3:9-10. At that moment they did not understand the implications of sin yet they were gripped by fear. God wants us to be free from its grip-Is.41:10.
Fear paralyses us and makes us disloyal. We cannot live healthy lives if we are gripped by fear. There is Healthy fear that protects us, e.g. a passing car, but there is also unhealthy fear, e.g. the fear of man which will ensnare us.
How do we free ourselves from Fear?
John the Apostle in 1 John 4:18 tells us that 'Perfect love casts out fear'. The Love of Christ sets us free. In Ecclesiastes 12:13, we are told to 'Fear God'  but in Philippians 2:12 we are asked to 'work out our Salvation with fear and trembling'. Two different concepts.

How do we recognize True Fear?
1. By its rise. It causes saving conviction of sin or it drives the soul to lay hold of Christ for Salvation.
2. It produces in the soul great reverence for God, His Word, His ways, keeping us afraid to turn to wrong or do anything that offends God or grieves the Holy Spirit.

God is not the Author of unclean Fear but it usually come from a spirit-2 Timothy 1:7. The Holy
Spirit dwells in the life of the believer, we cannot hold two opposing spirits simultaneously. There is no room for Fear in the life of a true believer.
What do we do when fear comes upon us? Psalm 56:3.

TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS
A subject that causes discouragement and anxiety to most believers. Why do we have them? Where do they come from? what is the answer? Nobody is exempt from them, whether great or small, old or young, all suffer alike. Believers and unbelievers suffer alike.
Where do they come from? There are three sources.
1. Demonic activity and attacks upon the person.
2. Human behaviour.
3. Our actions and conduct.
Christian lives are not trouble free but subject to attacks from Satan-1 Peter 5:8.
Job's trials show us clearly how Satan can afflict believers but this is not always evident-Job 1:6-12. We also notice that God allows tribulation sometimes in our lives. Satan can only go so far, by God's permission.

Here are some reasons why God permits troubles in our lives.
a. As a test of Faith-1 Peter 1:6-7, Job 1:21.
b. As a test of Faith, but chastisement is not punitive but remedial and corrective-Psalm 119:67, Revelation 3:19.
c. As a purifier of Faith and developer of Christian character-Job 23:10.
d. That we may be privileged to obtain eternal rewards-James 1:12, 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.

Here, on this earth, we live in enemy territory. Satan hates us and is out to destroy us and the Church. We are caught in the middle of the battle but God is able to deliver us and protect us.
We are asked therefore to 'Stand' and put on God's protection that He has provided for us. This is our responsibility-Ephesians 6:13(14).
There are times when we shall feel weary and be tempted to think that God has abandoned us. We
shall feel defeated and want to give up but God encourages us-Isaiah 40:27-31.
